Esodel-D is a combination of two medicine drugs Esomeprazole and Domperidone. Domperidone is a prokinetic beneficial for treating the upper digestive part to enhance the movement of the stomach muscle. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce acid in the stomach and treats heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Esodel-D (Esomeprazole + Domperidone) belongs to the gastrointestinal group to treat acidity, indigestion, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) happens due to the formation of acid in the stomach which comes up to the food pipe and causes heartburn Esodel-D helps to get relief from these symptoms by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.
Take Esodel-D before 1 hour of taking food. Esodel-D comes in tablet form there is no need to chew, bite or break the medicine it should be swallowed with a glass of water as it is in tablet form. You should take this medicine as long as your doctor prescribes to take.
Consumption of Esodel-D can cause dryness in the mouth. If you practice any dryness drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol and smoking and eat oily food while consuming Esodel-D. You may practice diarrhea but all these side effects will resolve after a period of time if you face these side effects for a long period you are advised to consult your doctor.
It should be stored according to the instructions written on the pack. Store this medicine in a somewhere safe place out of children’s reach or in a closed container. Store it at room temperature cool and dry place away from heat.
