Esodel-LSR is a mixture of two medicine drugs Esomeprazole and Levosulpiride. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce acid in the stomach and treats heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Levosulpiride works as a prokinetic and helps to prevent the backflow of acid to the food pipe levosulpiride increase the movement of the stomach and intestines.
Esodel-LSR (Esomeprazole + Levosulpiride) belongs to the gastrointestinal group to treat acidity, indigestion, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) happens due to the formation of acid in the stomach which comes up to food pipe Esodel-LSR helps to get relief from these problems by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.
Take Esodel-LSR before 1 hour of taking food. Esodel-LSR comes in tablet form there is no need to chew, bite or break the medicine it should be swallowed with a glass of water as it is in tablet form. You should take this medicine as long as your doctor prescribes it to take.
Consumption of Esodel-LSR can cause dryness in the mouth. If you practice any dryness drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol and smoking and eat oily food while consuming Esodel-LSR. You may practice diarrhea but all these side effects will resolve after a period of time if you face these side effects for a long period you are advised to consult your doctor.
